I don’t know why the mods over on r/foodporn are such pathetic little neck-bearded crybabies but hopefully this sub can enjoy a great sandwich.

    They were delicious. Eggs cooked over-medium. Bacon coated in flour and baked at 375(F) for 50 minutes. Toast for bottom with mayo spread, lettuce + tomato. Salt & Pepper added as well. I’ll probably add avocado next time.

    Edit: yeah the bacon was in probably closer to 40-45 minutes. Also my wife loves it crispy and practically burnt lol so I probably did cook the bacon longer than most would like, plus it’s thick cut as well.

    That’s actually pretty intetesting. I might consider doing this myself at some point. Maybe with cheese that nicely melts while being grilled.

    This idea is genius.  Plus you get the buttery toast circles on the side which are legit the best part of eggs in a nest.

    Foodporn is just pretentious photos of cold food that was cooked to be content, not eaten. Big plate of chicken without a single molecule of steam in the picture. Yum.

    Big fan of pan frying bread in yolk for “fancy” sandwichs. Like making french toast but you don’t add any of the sweet stuff (nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, etc)

    I’m glad I’m not the only one! I found out what eggs in basket were, threw it in some sourdough and had the best BLT I once thought impossible lol.

    Rule 1 of food porn is the picture should be well lit and well plated. This looks delicious and I definitely want to try it myself but the aesthetics just aren’t there. It looks like food at an amazing cafe, not a nice restaurant.

    The mods on Reddit can be some of the biggest power tripping losers I’ve ever encountered in my life.
